A handsome pair of Bombay Company nightstands, dating to 2002, featuring an elegant Neoclassical and Empire Revival-inspired design.
Each nightstand is finished in a rich mahogany tone and features a gently shaped top and drawer front framed by fluted columns with gilt-tone capitals and ornate paw-form feet. A decorative ring pull with foliate backplate accents the single drawer, while the open lower compartment incorporates an adjustable shelf for books, decorative objects, or bedside storage.
Their relatively narrow proportions make these particularly versatile beside a bed, sofa, or pair of lounge chairs without sacrificing useful storage. The combination of warm wood, architectural fluting, classical hardware, and sculptural feet gives the pair considerably more presence than their compact footprint suggests.
Both pieces retain their original Bombay Company markings, including the 2002 copyright and model/style number 082-109.
