This unique accent piece features a vibrant, high-gloss turquoise blue enameled background over a solid brass core, heavily contrasted by an intricate silver-toned pierced metal central overlay.\n\nThe center showcases an auspicious stylized Taiping Youxiang motif—a traditional symbol depicting an elephant carrying an ornate vase/urn on its back to wish the household "peace and good fortune." Intricately incorporated into the cutout framework of the vase is a stylized longevity character (Shòu). The back features a clean, uniform turquoise enamel finish, highly characteristic of quality mid-20th-century Asian brass export decorative items.
