Across the lower half of the case, each drawer is cut with overlapping angled slats that step forward in sequence, so the front reads as a series of shadow lines that shift as you move past it. The upper section changes register entirely, with a plain full width drawer above three smaller side by side drawers, and the case rides on tapered legs capped in brass and joined by a sculpted base rail with brass banding across the front.

The layout makes the height work rather than simply stacking storage. Three small upper drawers hold watches, wallets, and everyday items separately, the full width drawer above them takes shirts and folded pieces, and the deep louvered drawers below handle bulkier clothing. Brass swing pulls on the upper drawers give you something to actually grip, while the louvered drawers open from the slatted edge with no hardware at all, which is what keeps that lower run of the case visually uninterrupted.
