This is a substantial pair, constructed from heavy, solid brass anchored by an internal iron ballast in each base to ensure stability. The brass retains its beautiful, original factory clear-coat finish, which has protected the metal over the decades, preserving its luster. Because this original factory lacquer is intact, the brass is remarkably low-maintenance—the buyer will never have to polish them, as they simply wipe clean with a soft cloth.
These lamps are in excellent vintage condition and have been well cared for. The original finish is largely intact, though buyers should expect minor surface scratches and a few tiny age spots consistent with gentle use and age. These imperfections are entirely superficial and easily masked by the natural brilliance and reflection of the polished brass.
