Executed in Weller's iconic, high-gloss "Standard Glaze," the ceramic body transitions seamlessly through a rich palette of deep tortoiseshell brown, warm amber, and olive green slips. The face features a beautifully rendered, organic fruit motif with soft, underglaze brushwork that captures the peak of the late 19th-century Arts & Crafts and American Art Nouveau movements.Adding to its distinct character, this piece was professionally converted into a luxury lighting fixture during the 1920s to 1930s—a period when affluent homeowners adapted prized Victorian art pottery into functional electrical decor. The lamp is beautifully grounded by a custom-turned wood base accented with a delicate brass filigree rim collar, balancing the substantial scale of the vase. The top is finished with a heavy brass cap, a period-correct fat-body push-button socket, and a fixed harp structure.Perfect for sophisticated interior designers and serious collectors alike, this artist-signed statement piece infuses any space with rich texture, historical provenance, and warm, atmospheric light.
