Dating approximately from the 1930s to the 1950s, this refined rectangular picture frame beautifully combines the more rigorous, geometric lines of Art Deco with the softer, more decorative aesthetic that emerged during the 1950s. Its generous size makes it particularly suitable for displaying and enhancing a large photograph commemorating a meaningful occasion, such as a wedding, or a cherished portrait of someone special. The embossed tin sheet has been carefully preserved in its original aged patina. As light catches the raised ridges of the metal, it creates beautiful reflections and a striking contrast with black-and-white photography, enhancing the timeless character of the piece.

The back of the frame is made from a thin sheet of plywood that has developed a slight curve over time. Consistent with its age, this natural deformation does not affect its functionality and the backing still performs its primary purpose of securely holding the photograph in place.
