The unusual blond color of the wood locates the origins along the Rhone River where the alluvial grounds of the river tended to lighten up the pigmentation of the walnut wood. We loved the taller version of this classically proportioned buffet of solid walnut with its two dovetailed drawers and two large paneled doors opening to ample storage. It features a hand rubbed bees wax finish. The doucine shaped legs soften the piece and give it elegance. Notice the asymmetrical figured walnut panels on the doors which gives the cabinet its true charm.

The buffet is in very nice antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The photos accurately depict the condition. See less
