This fine piece was conceived … Read more An exquisite Art Deco clear and frosted glass vase, model "Acacia", designed by René Lalique. This fine piece was conceived and produced circa 1921 at the Wingen-sur-Moder glassworks in Alsace, France.
The vase is masterfully molded with a dense, deeply cut pattern of alternating vertical Acacia leaves and stems, creating a striking architectural and organic rhythm around the swelling, ovoid form. The frosted quality of the glass, combined with the relief molding and nice patina in grey-blue, perfectly captures the light.
This example is in excellent condition. The base is clearly and correctly marked with the engraved signature "R.Lalique France N° 949".
