Exceptional vintage Polish art glass pedestal bowl attributed to Jozefina Krosno, featuring the highly distinctive sculptural “Octopus” or “Jellyfish” form.
The warm caramel, amber, cream, and clear glass palette is beautifully layered with delicate bubble-like inclusions and organic horizontal bands throughout the bowl. Below, multiple flowing ribbons of clear and caramel-toned glass curve and intertwine dramatically, creating the wonderfully fluid tentacle-like pedestal that gives this form its iconic octopus appearance.
The result is part functional vessel and part sculptural glasswork. The elevated bowl is beautifully suited to display as a centerpiece, compote, catchall, or simply as a standalone piece of vintage art glass.
