Presenting a striking, original double-sided gallery print by the acclaimed French Narrative Figuration artist Jacques Monory (1924–2018). This piece was published in Paris in 1979 by the legendary Galerie Maeght for "Derrière le Miroir" (Issue No. 227), a premier art publication that accompanied Monory’s "Technicolor" exhibition.
The vibrant front of the page features a cinematic offset lithograph from the Technicolor series. Dominated by electric blues and saturated fuchsia, the scene presents a stylized figure seated poolside in a lush, hyperreal garden. The heightened color contrasts evoke the mood of film noir, capturing a sense of stillness and suspense that is central to Monory’s exploration of artificial beauty, pop culture, and solitude.
The reverse side of the page (marked page 15) features a striking monochromatic reproduction of another work from the exhibition, cataloged as "n° 16". This black-and-white image depicts a cinematic grouping of fashionable female figures lounging in a 1970s interior. Having artwork or exhibition catalog details printed on the reverse is a hallmark of authentic Derrière le Miroir folios, guaranteeing this piece is an original 1979 gallery printing and not a modern reproduction.
