The El Dom Rosewood Dining Table is a minimalist modern dining table designed by Hannes Wettstein for Cassina in 2005. This is the 240cm/94inch length version with rosewood veneer. The table is in good condition, with normal wear for its age, and some surface scratches on the tabletop.
The El Dom table is a Santos rosewood table with a strong, almost monolithic presence. The top and legs appear to merge into a single wooden volume, giving the piece a sense of solidity and continuity. The gradual tapering of the legs softens the sense of weight, visually lightening the overall form. Now out of production, the table reflects a rigorous approach to form and refined construction.
