Description:
Presenting a truly magnificent and exceptionally heavy Chinese gilt bronze covered jar ("General's jar" / Ginger jar), crafted in the opulent style of the Qing Dynasty Imperial Court.

This masterpiece is entirely covered in masterful high-relief repoussé and chasing (錾刻) work. The surface features a dense and intricate composition of Nine Dragons (九龙) writhing through turbulent waves and swirling, stylized auspicious clouds. The details of the dragons' scales, claws, and fierce expressions are deeply carved, creating a striking three-dimensional effect.

The dome-shaped cover is also fully decorated with a coiling dragon and features a rounded, knop finial carved with flame motifs. The neck and base are bordered with continuous classical patterns.

The base bears a deeply cast square seal reading "乾隆御制" (Made by Imperial Command of the Qianlong Emperor), a traditional reverence mark used on later (Late Qing/Republic period or contemporary) high-quality bronze works.

Condition: Excellent condition. The gilding is vibrant and intact with a beautiful, rich golden hue. No dents, cracks, or repairs are observed. Natural patina and minor surface wear to the recessed areas are consistent with age and display. Please refer to all provided photos for full details.
