Description:
Presenting a beautiful vintage Chinese copper gilt covered jar, crafted in the classic "General's jar" (Jiangjun Guan) silhouette. This piece stands out for its deep, bright, and uniform gold tone, which has developed a lovely warm patina over time.

The jar is meticulously decorated by hand using traditional chasing and repoussé techniques. The main body features highly detailed, continuous floral motifs—likely peonies and chrysanthemums—set within cartouches, surrounded by dense, fine scrolling wirework. The neck and base are decorated with classic stylized floral bands. The domed lid features a smooth, lotus-bud shaped finial and a matching floral border.

The smooth, slightly aged surface of the gilt metal (as shown in the base photos) adds to its vintage charm and indicates it is a solid, heavy piece.
