This petite Chippendale-style secretary chest produced for Marshall Field's features a unique flip-top which raises a tiered upper gallery as it opens. A pair of small drawers with brass gallery rails, a pair of inkwells, and a brass-hinged, leather-inset writing surface with gilt ivy pattern complete the effect.
Excellent condition with just a few marks consistent with age and use.
