The vase features a wonderfully decorative oversized stylized flower surrounded by scrolling vines, leaves and smaller floral elements. Contrasting bands of yellow, burgundy and blue accent the neck and base, giving the piece the colorful Old World character associated with traditional Italian pottery.

The hand-painted decoration has an intentionally rustic, artisanal quality, with visible brushwork and variations that give the vase wonderful depth and character. The softly distressed appearance makes it especially appealing for Mediterranean, Italian, Tuscan, Spanish Revival, Rustic European or collected eclectic interiors.
