Bring timeless elegance to your dining space with this exceptional mid-to-late 20th-century Regency Revival double-pedestal dining table. Crafted in the traditional style of premium North Carolina workshops (such as Morganton and Heritage), this piece beautifully balances architectural drama with classic proportions. It features a sweeping curvilinear base structure that provides immense stability while creating a striking focal point from every angle.
Design Details
The oval tabletop showcases a rich, glossy mahogany finish accented by an intricate, inlaid light-wood perimeter stringing/banding that defines its sophisticated silhouette. The tabletop edges cascade into a beautifully finished apron featuring a professional blackened factory wash underneath—a hallmark of high-end vintage craftsmanship meant to seamlessly conceal secondary structural wood.
The double-pedestal supports are carved in a classic Duncan Phyfe profile, flowing downwards into splayed legs that terminate in decorative, polished brass claw-foot caps. A unique, centralized brass crossbar connector ties the base structure together for elevated stability and style.
Functionality & Dimensions
Equipped with heavy-duty, multi-geared wooden slider tracks and solid brass perimeter table locks, the mechanical expansion system operates flawlessly. The table includes two matching extension leaves that fit seamlessly to adjust the seating length, allowing you to easily host both intimate family dinners and large holiday gatherings.
