Classic Arts & Crafts quarter-sawn oak construction with original finish, this sturdy five shelf piece has clean, vertical slatted sides. Rich deep wood tones highlight the beautiful natural grain.
Provenance & Authentication
This piece has dual shopmarks located on the underside of the bottom shelf. It features the signature embossed copper/brass "Quaint Furniture/Stickley Bros., Co./Grand Rapids, Mich." trademark plate. The original paper factory label snippet is also present; it recently detached from the wood while being photographed and is preserved in an archival sleeve to be included with the purchase for the next owner (can provide photograph of paper label still intact on extant nail, lower left of metal plate label, if desired).
Condition
Excellent structural integrity and stability with a beautiful, rich historic patina. Shows signs of use, light localized surface scratches and wear to the lower feet. There is a historic dark tannin/water stain on one of the middle shelves (pictured), which blends smoothly with the aged character of the wood; beautiful overall patina of an original-finish Arts & Crafts piece.
