This is a traditional Chinese copper‑cast Guanyin (Avalokiteshvara) bodhisattva sculpture. The deity sits in meditation pose upon a detailed carved lotus throne, fitted with an elaborate pierced flame‑shaped mandorla backplate.
Traces of antique mud‑gilt finish remain across the surface. Guanyin is the bodhisattva of compassion and mercy in Buddhist tradition. Perfect for chinoiserie decor, altar display and Asian religious‑art collections.
