Striking pair of vintage Italian tole floral table lamps, circa 1950s–1960s, retaining their wonderfully aged original painted finish.
Each lamp features an elaborate sculptural arrangement of hand-formed metal flowers in soft blue tones surrounded by dimensional green leaves and gracefully twisting white-painted stems. The open botanical framework rises from a substantial round metal base accented with blue detailing, creating an airy yet highly decorative silhouette.
The lamps are particularly impressive in person at approximately 32 inches high to the top of the finial. Their large scale, abundant floral decoration, and matching construction make them excellent statement pieces for bedside tables, consoles, living-room end tables, or a sophisticated Palm Beach–style interior.
One of the most important details is the surviving “Made in Italy” marking, confirming Italian manufacture.
The original painted surfaces display authentic age throughout, including scattered oxidation, surface rust, paint loss, discoloration, dust and general wear. These characteristics contribute to the wonderfully timeworn character of the pair. They have not been repainted or overly restored, allowing the original Italian finish and patina to remain intact. The pair shows age-appropriate wear throughout, including scattered surface rust and oxidation, paint loss, discoloration, dust, minor scratches and areas of patina, particularly along the painted metal stems, leaves and bases. The hand-painted flowers and leaves retain attractive original color and character. No attempt has been made to repaint or over-restore the lamps. Overall, the age-related imperfections contribute to their authentic vintage Italian appearance. Please review all photographs closely as they are an important part of the condition description.
