An exuberantly detailed vintage silverplate serving tray by F.B. Rogers, with a richly worked field of scrolling foliage, florals and architectural motifs surrounding an open center cartouche.
The ornament continues into a pierced gallery encircling the tray, finished with a substantial twisted-rope border. The combination gives the piece the formality of traditional silver with enough graphic detail to work beautifully in a more layered, collected interior.
At 15.25 inches across, it has excellent scale for a cocktail table or home bar—equally handsome holding glassware, decanters, perfume bottles or a small collection of objects.
Marked F B ROGERS on the underside. Measures approximately 15.25” across and 1.75” tall.
In very good vintage condition with preloved history including some surface scratching, tarnish, patina and discoloration consistent with age and use.
