As is often the case with these objects of art, the painter has taken advantage of the circular shape of the vase to represent continuous scenes. Here, it is the theme of confrontation that has been chosen. Characters in traditional dress, some on horseback and armed with swords, battle, brandishing shields and standards. These enamelled decorations are predominantly green, pink and orange, on a cracked porcelain background in ivory.
The flared neck is embellished with Fo dogs figuring handles.
The shoulder and the bottom of this vase are marked by large brown bands, with dragons and protruding motifs, while a thinner one highlights the lips.
Note the presence of a signature in sinograms on the bottom of the object.
