Bunny Halligan (1921–2015), also known as Berniece Falling Leaves or Bernice Simard, was a Pacific Northwest-based painter, arts administrator, and gallery owner. Working in watercolor, acrylic, batik, and ceramics, she led regional arts organizations and later focused on Native American spirituality.
In the 1950’s Bunny Served as president of Pacific Gallery Artists and was on the board of Tacoma Allied Arts.
In this particular piece, the artist imbeds real fern fronds in acrylic.
