Long and low, it’s ideal for a bar cart, vanity, or coffee table vignette.

Part of the classic mid-20th century American “hostess ware” tradition, this painted metal tray was made for cocktails, bridge nights, and easy entertaining. The floral-on-black decoration, reticulated rim and rectangular form align with pieces in the Nashco / Pilgrim Art ecosystem, but your remaining New York paper label is too fragmentary to confirm a specific maker.

Design & details include mid-20th century, likely 1950s–1960s, painted metal (toleware-type) rectangular serving/drinks tray, deep gallery sides with repeating oval/diamond pierced pattern, integrated cut-out handles at both ends, black ground with hand-painted lilies and small blossoms, small painted signature/initials near the floral motif, and a fine gold-tone painted line along the outer edge. Approx. size: 22"W x 10"D x 1.25"H.

Condition: Overall presents well, with strong color and intact floral painting on the top surface. Moderate wear and scratches to the tray surface from normal tabletop use. Noticeable, heavier wear and finish loss at one handle area. Underside shows significant scratching and scuffing, plus paint loss along parts of the perimeter. Partial paper label on the underside, showing New York (“N.Y.”) and older postal-style wording, but too damaged to read maker name or full text. Clean, structurally sound, ready to use with normal care on a stable surface.

Works with Cottagecore, Grandmacore or Shabby Chic Decor. Minor wear and scratches are a normal part of vintage items unless stated differently. SKU: 8638353 See less
