Mid Century Modern 1950's Marc Bellaire "Still Life" line hand painted ceramic footed ashtray.
Marc Bellaire produced high- quality ceramics in California. Often decorated with ultra modern figures and geometric patterns.
His work was quite prolific in the 1950's and was name one of the top ten artware by Giftware Magazine.
The dish has a very nice surface texture, and is painted with warm tones.
It is signed on the top and titled on the bottom.
It can have many functions as it does not look like a traditional ashtray.
