The carved face follows the tradition's panel-by-panel approach, each section carrying its own distinct emblem rather than one repeating pattern: a long serpent running the height of one panel, several birds worked in low relief, a curved blade or hoe-shaped tool, a small house or shrine icon with a peaked roof, and geometric lattice boxes filling out the composition. It's one of the more varied emblem sets in this group, mixing animal, tool, and architectural forms rather than sticking to one category. The patina is a deep, even brown consistent with genuine age and handling.
At 23 inches wide and 71 inches tall, it's a tall, narrow piece suited to a hallway, a stair wall, or flanking a doorway, with enough carved detail to hold attention at that height.
