Beautifully proportioned, each cabinet features warm, richly grained wood panels framed by contrasting ebonized wood, creating a strong architectural profile characteristic of Probber’s refined approach to modern furniture. Four spacious drawers are fitted with handsome linear pulls incorporating dark wood and brass detailing.

The cabinets are raised on substantial square legs terminating in brass-capped feet, an elegant detail that complements the brass accents of the drawer hardware. Inset wood panels across the tops and sides further emphasize the crisp geometry and exceptional construction of the pieces.

Each table provides four drawers of practical storage while maintaining a clean, restrained silhouette, making the pair equally well suited for use as bedside tables, nightstands, end tables, or small chests.

One drawer retains the original “Furniture Designed by Harvey Probber, Fall River, Massachusetts” label, while additional manufacturer’s markings are present within the drawers.

A handsome and highly versatile pair combining warm wood tones, dramatic ebonized detailing, and subtle brass accents—a classic example of Harvey Probber’s sophisticated American modern design.

Condition: Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. The wood surfaces and ebonized frames show scattered scratches, marks, finish wear, and minor losses consistent with age and use. The brass feet retain their original aged patina, including areas of oxidation and discoloration. One top has a more noticeable group of scratches, as photographed. Additionally, one top has a small lizard-shaped spot within the finish. Rather than refinishing the pair and compromising their original finish, we elected to leave this charming imperfection as found. Please review photographs closely for condition details.
