The antique rug shows age appropriate wear with areas of thinning and slight pile shedding consistent with an older hand-knotted wool textile. The wool feels slightly dry, and the original upholstery stuffing sheds small hardened granules from the open underside when the stool is inverted/upside down. The oak frame displays scattered scratches, dings, surface grime, finish wear, and age related patina throughout. The wood plugs covering the fasteners remain visible and have aged naturally.
