A distinctive vintage brass door knocker featuring a finely detailed Alsatian Wolf Dog, also known as a German Shepherd, seated in an alert pose. The sculptural dog rests on a textured base marked “ALSATIAN WOLF DOG,” giving the piece wonderful character and making it especially appealing to dog lovers and collectors of unusual architectural hardware.
The brass has a rich aged finish with natural variation and patina consistent with vintage use. Detailed modeling throughout the coat, face, legs, and base gives this compact piece a surprisingly sculptural presence.
The reverse retains its hinged knocker mechanism and shows the naturally aged surface expected of an authentic vintage piece. Mounting screws not included.
