Just Andersen D30 Disko Metal Art Deco Box with Reclining Deer, Denmark, c. 1926-1930
Rare Deco lidded box designed by Just Andersen (1884-1943) cast in his Disko Metal alloy.
The removable lid is adorned with a beautifully sculpted reclining deer .
The underside is impressed “Just/D30/Disko Metal/Denmark
The box has a rich, dark brown patina. Raised borders surround the lid and the 4 small feet give the piece, a strong, elegant Art Deco silhouette.
