A rare piece from the iconic Domino series — one of Stig Lindberg's most celebrated works for Gustavsberg, and one of the original items launched at the landmark H55 exhibition in Helsingborg in 1955. This No.12 ashtray/catchall is a collector's classic: bold black-and-white geometric stoneware that has lost none of its visual power in seventy years.
The Domino series was conceived as a group of art objects — ashtrays, vases, and bowls — in Lindberg's signature geometric vocabulary. The low square form with slightly raised edges makes the No.12 ideal as a modern desk catchall for keys, rings, or small items, as well as a display piece in its own right.
