High-quality miniature of a male portrait in the Louis XV style by an anonymous master.
This elegant, oval-shaped miniature, handcrafted, depicts an aristocrat in a wig and 18th-century attire, dressed in a brown coat with a white tie and a red cloak wrapped around one shoulder.
The artist is unknown, with the date March 16, 1743, and illegible inscriptions in French, including the handwritten inscription "Joseph Frappuer" at the bottom. The miniature reflects the refined portraiture of the period.
Framed in an oval brass frame with a window and a hanging ring, 7.5 x 6 cm
