This is a beautiful vase made in Belgium during the Art Nouveau movement at the turn of the 19th century. It is a beautiful example of the organic nature and floral lines loved by the Victorian era. The body of the vase is painted a rich burgundy. The light and dark colours flow into each other creating an interesting effect. The floral detail is in relief with a discreet iridescent blue paint highlighting the flowers. All finished off with two rounded high handles
The Impressionist style was very popular in France and Belgium at that time.
It is in good condition. There is crazing present commensurate with age. Please look closely at all photos.
