Lidded soup tureen and matching base in white ironstone with cobalt blue decoration, in the style of the great Delft pottery workshops. Signed “VDuijn” on the base.
Delicately hand-painted floral and geometric design; the lid’s handle is shaped like a sculpted artichoke. A piece with character, in an exceptional size—the soup tureen measures 44 cm in length, with a matching base.
Excellent overall condition, consistent with the piece’s age. No chips.
