A porcelain plate decorated with the finest painting: border with a lemon-yellow background behind five large, curved gold reserves, framed … Read more A porcelain plate decorated with the finest painting: border with a lemon-yellow background behind five large, curved gold reserves, framed thickly painted in gold; delicate coloured arabesque painting flanking central urns with flowers, interspersed with lens-shaped medallions; a gold relief border along the moulding, with a floral gold lace border on a white mirror background. On the reverse, an old collector’s label: ‘dr. A. J. Werner collection’.
