Charming vintage set of five solid oak wall plate frames by Van Hygan & Smythe. Each circular frame features beautifully figured oak with a warm medium-brown finish, molded rounded profile, and an 8-inch interior opening.
The reverse retains the Van Hygan & Smythe maker’s mark along with the original black metal spring clips designed to securely hold a plate in place. An integrated triangular hanger allows each frame to be mounted directly on the wall.
A particularly attractive way to display a collection of transferware, porcelain, ironstone, botanical plates, or other decorative ceramics. The matching set of five makes an excellent gallery-wall grouping and works especially well in traditional and collected interiors.
