The Paris France based company of Maynadier designed and produced lamps in art déco style. For this pendant Maynadier used Degué bowl model #520. Note the three beautiful geometric cubist buttons specially made to fit this bowl. An old Maynadier product catalog shows two variations of this 3-armed chandelier. One with a Muller freres bowl and a second one with a deep bowl as lantern for hall ways. The Degué bowl is unsigned. Which often is the case with this model 520. Apparently Maynadier preferred selling his pendants without brand name of the glass factory. I also show pictures of the bowl in the old Degué catalog.
The fixture has a total height of 27.75 inches (70,5 cm) and a diameter of 15" (38 cm). The shade is 13.78" wide (35 cm). It is in very good condition. The mount still has its original nickel plating which turned grayish and mat over the years, yet shows no wear. The pendant is newly wired with an American standard base socket.
