Exceptional 1970s armoire designed by William Doezema for Mastercraft Furniture Co. of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The cabinet features richly figured burl wood accented by extensive brass detailing, including faux-bamboo corner columns, fine brass inlay, and substantial campaign-style hardware.
The tall architectural silhouette is finished with a gently arched pediment and elongated inset door panels outlined in brass. Double doors open to reveal a fitted interior with five pull-out storage trays, complemented by two full-width exterior drawers below.
At just 17.75 inches deep, the cabinet offers substantial storage while maintaining an unusually streamlined profile. A striking example of Mastercraft’s glamorous 1970s design, blending Asian Modern influences with the luxurious materials associated with Hollywood Regency interiors.
The brass retains its natural vintage patina. Professional brass polishing can be arranged prior to delivery at the buyer’s request.
