Manufactured in Staffordshire, England, this stunning earthenware piece features an iconic, vibrant all-over floral chintz pattern densely packed with pink roses, white daisies, and delicate blue and purple accent flowers. The plate is beautifully shaped with gently scalloped edges and finished with a delicate gold-gilt rim trim. The reverse side displays the official Royal Winton cursive script backstamp, the blue "Summertime" pattern name stamp, and a distinct wartime "A" code marking. This historic mark was assigned by the British Board of Trade under the Wartime Concentration Scheme, dating its exact production period between 1942 and 1952. I love the never-ending floral pattern.
