A striking, highly decorative pair of antique late 19th-century French Baroque or Neoclassical revival style five-light candelabras.
Expertly compiled from heavy, solid sand-cast brass, these table or mantle ornaments boast magnificent artistic symmetry and complex structural design.
The central column features an openwork flame finial rising above an embossed urn-style shoulder adorned with classical laurel leaf banding.
Four intricately scrolled fluid arms branch outward, supporting wide foliate drip pans and beautifully patterned candle cups.
The architectural plinth bases are exceptionally detailed, showcases a finely chased mythological Pan / Satyr grotesque mask on each main panel, framed by fluted Corinthian pillars.
The entire assembly sits proudly on detailed figural lion-paw feet emerging from elegant acanthus leaf details.
