Tripod reading floor lamp, France, 1950s
An elegant accent floor lamp with a clean design characteristic of French furniture from the 1950s. The black lacquered tubular metal tripod base rises in a slender, gooseneck-shaped stem to the lamp head.
The conical shade in pleated vinyl, in ivory/beige tones enhanced with fine colored stripes, diffuses a warm and enveloping light. The brass fitting at the junction of the shade and arm adds a touch of refinement and allows the shade to be adjusted.
A vintage piece in working order, with a zoomorphic look highly sought after in contemporary retro decor.
