the finish shifts between gold, violet, green and soft rose depending on the light. Three contrasting silhouettes—a folded upright form, a slim obelisk and a broad low vessel—are unified by the same colour treatment.

johan van loon (1934–2020) studied textile design in amsterdam and worked with rosenthal from 1980. His porcelain designs are known for folded and overlapping forms. Helmut drexler (1927–2016) was a german porcelain painter and designer recognised for the experimental metallic finishes he developed during his long career at rosenthal.

factory marks date the pieces between 1992 and 1995. Sold as a curated set of three.
