Th. De leeuw 20th century stable oil painting with horses. C1920.
th de leeuw was a dutch landscape and animal painter born in 1879. This lovely stable scene is a typical motif for de leeuw. Painted from his favorite position in the rustic barn where he loved to capture the image of the two horses resting mid day. The tall green barn doors and thatched roof adds to the country feel and charm.
