This is a charming vintage needlepoint accent pillow featuring a wonderful coastal sea-life motif. The hand-worked front depicts a large golden starfish surrounded by a smaller starfish, seashells, coral-like forms, and aquatic details in a soft palette of lavender, sage green, blue, cream, and warm gold.
The needlepoint is finished with a decorative patterned border and thick twisted cord trim, giving the pillow a beautifully tailored appearance. The reverse is upholstered in a warm golden-tan velvet with a discreet closure.
The softly faded colors and aged velvet give it a lovely timeworn character. A delightful decorative pillow for a coastal, collected, or traditional interior, and especially pretty mixed with antique textiles and other nautical pieces. ❤️
