Charming French mid-century side table and magazine rack featuring a hand-decorated ceramic tile top with a colorful underwater fish motif. The glazed tile panel is artist-signed, although the artist’s identity has not been confirmed. The black metal frame includes an integrated magazine rack, four decorative brass-toned ball casters and French patent-marked hardware reading “Bté S.G.D.G.”
The ceramic top is permanently attached. The table is extremely sturdy and stands level, and all four casters roll properly. No tiles are cracked, chipped or loose. The glazed surface displays age-appropriate crazing, light scratches and discoloration, while the frame and casters show oxidation, finish wear and patina consistent with vintage use.
