A spectacular vintage Lenwile Ardalt porcelain figural lamp and music box depicting a romantic Rococo-style courting scene with a gentleman playing the violin and a lady seated beside an ornate harp.
This beautifully detailed Japanese porcelain artware piece combines three decorative functions in one wonderfully theatrical object: a large hand-painted figural sculpture, a working mechanical music box, and an integrated light that illuminates the abundant floral arrangement.
The scene is richly decorated with applied porcelain flowers, foliage, scrolling details, and hand-painted gilt accents.
