Exported by Vantine's in NYC to be sold at their high-end department store in 1905. This Japanese porcelain planter can be found in their specialized Oriental and Fine Art seasonal catalogs during the holidays from 1905-1915, during a time when Japanese moriage and Nippon style pottery were in great demand. Hand painted moriage pieces in daisy patterns on all sides the planter in blue and yellow.
It sits on 3 feet in a tripod shape with a slightly scalloped edge.
In excellent condition, I've found no chips, repairs or cracks. It measures 6.5" tall.
