Offered is a vintage 1970s handcrafted and burnished clay cat figurine from Tonalá, in Jalisco, Mexico, a province renowned for its earth-tone clay and for all the pottery and ceramic art created since the 1950s.
Created in the original earthtones, this cat is light cream with a flower native to the region done in brown with a hint of sky and ink blue, as well as the typical black flourishes.
The cat measures: 5.5" L x 2.875" W x 4" H to the tip of the ear.
