Other inscriptions on the pipe are "fusilier", "12th Comp. 3rd Reg. Hess Inf" and "Arolsen".
The pipe bowl measures 5.25", the bore to the stem is 12/64ths with some remaining cork, the edge of the mouth is 1.25", has some milling and a small chip. The heel is unmarked.

This one-of-a-kind pipe bowl is a piece of history in more ways than one and it's extremely rare to find one still intact that bears the identity of the soldier it belonged to! See less
