This unusual vase or bowl is a stunning piece of artwork! A hand-blown piece likely from France, it was done in an opaline/opalescent finish, a technique that dates back to 16th century Europe and was achieved by adding oxides to the glass.
It is large in stature (8"T x 8.25" W) and has a lovely form. No chips or cracks. There is a small pontil mark at the base and based on the footed base, it may have sat in a very nice, possibly silver, centerpiece.
