his marevelous antique Corona Stoneware crock was created for Edinburgh Scottish Whiskey with a Brisol tan and white salt glaze … Read more his marevelous antique Corona Stoneware crock was created for Edinburgh Scottish Whiskey with a Brisol tan and white salt glaze over wheel thrown stoneward with stenciled merchant graphics "Edinburgh Whiskey, Est 1751.". The wood spigot is missing from the hole situated near the bottom. Corona Stoneware was a company in Toronto Ontario Canada from the 1880s to 1920s. Factory mold number=167S and the Corona Stoneware stamp has a copyright symbol. Measurements for this fabulous creation are: Height from top to bottom=14 inches, Diameter side to side=11 inches, mouth opening diameter=6 1/2 inches. This marvelous stoneware crock has been well cared for, gently used and is in good antique condition, considering its age. There is one 1/2 inch by 3/8 inch chip on the rim. The surface has several age- and use related issues including small nicks and stains, as well as a rust stain, but all do not diminish the usability or historic beauty of this lovely jug.
